Welcome to Sheffield City Swimming Club. We are Sheffield’s oldest competitive swimming club formed back in 1962. Our members range from 8 years of age to masters swimmers and number around 150. The club is run by 10 committee members with a host of other volunteers. |

The club is split into 4 squads A, B & C and Youth + Masters squads, each having its own coach and train primarily at Heeley baths but we also use Ponds Forge, Graves and Spring’s swimming pools. We promote friendship and teamspirit and swim "one for all and all for one" The club is affiliated with the Amateur Swimming Association and was awarded Swim 21 and Sport England Club Mark status in 2003, which was revalidated most recently in 2011. |

Olivia Beavers has won the SCSC Swimmer of the Year for 2011. Olivia was presented with the Margaret Randall Swimmer of the Year plaque at the club’s Awards and Presentation Evening held on Saturday 14 January 2012. Olivia was one of 9 finalists which included: Andrew Gould, Stephanie Deal, Ria Deignan, Ben Hunter, Emily Kemp, Hope Middleton, Kasia Newbould, and Natalie Taylor. more.... |
| SCSC come second in B Grade |

SCSC came second to a strong Leeds squad in the 23rd annual SCSC B Grade competition held at Ponds Forge 17 December. Seventy SCSC swimmers suited up but were no match for the army of Leeds (118 swimmers) who put up an outstanding 557 points to take Top Team honours, while the hosts followed up with 321 points and Harrogate claiming the third spot with 184 points. more.... |

| Andy sets new mark |

Andy Gould set a new British record in the 200m Backstroke in the Men’s MD group at the ASANER Age Group and Junior/Senior Championships held on Dec 3-4 in Sunderland. Andy smashed his PB by five seconds, swimming an impressive 2.27.55. Andy also swam the Men’s 100 Back, placing 1st in the MD division; 47th in the Men’s Open 50 Fly; 1st in the Men’s Open 50 Back MD division as well as his 1st in the MD division 200 Back. Also representing the club were: Emily Kemp, Robbie Burton, Olivia Beavers and Dan Field. more.... |

| Well done to everyone that took part in the time trials held at Heeley this weekend. All the swimmers work really hard and showed true determination to achieve some great times in events they do not usually swim in. Also thanks to the parents and helpers for time keeping and lap counting. |

Club Contingent represent Sheffield at White Rose Gala |

Back in September 12 young swimmers from A, B and C squad where selected along with swimmers from City of Sheffield and Stocksbridge swimming club to represent Sheffield in the annual White Rose Gala held at St John Charles Centre in Leeds. This gala is for swimmers aged 12 and under with the overall winner from the Yorkshire Region going forward to a National Final. Standards are high with the cream of Yorkshire participating including City of Leeds, Borough of Kirklees and Doncaster Darts to name a few. more.... |

A small contingent of 13 Sheffield City Swimmers (with all 4 squads being represented) made the journey to Beverley on the 23th October for the annual South Axholme Sharks Halloween Meet along with team manager Ian and officials Liz and Phil. |

Despite lacking numbers we made ourselves known throughout the age groups with 25 top 6 finishes and 7 Speeding Tickets. More impressive when you consider most of the age groups are double ones and most of our swimmers where swimming at the lower end of their respective age group!!! more.... |

On Sunday 23rd October 3 of our swimmers, Beth Gatus, Steph Senior and Hope Middleton, took on Nottingham and Midlands area swimmers at the Retford Level 2 gala. Between them the girls achieved 9 top 10 finishes, which was a great achievement as they were competing against girls going for their respective county and area times, equivalent to our Yorkshire and NER competitions, so the competition was tough in combined age categories. more.... |

SCSC's Emily Kemp won the Yorkshire's Girls 10 yrs 100m Breaststroke today at Ponds Forge Sheffield. Emily clocked a time of 1.32.13 over the short course race earning her place as the top in all of Yorkshire. more.... |

SCSC held onto their crown as the reigning champions of the Barnsley Minor League Division 1 with a resounding victory on Sunday 25 September in Normanton (Wakefield). SCSC came first with 191 points, followed by Stocksbridge (181), Adwick (167) and Wakefield (155). Final standings read: SCSC 742, Stocksbridge 687, Adwick 686 and Wakefield 598. more.... |
